Our story
create and destroy fundraiser
We’ve put our heart and soul into the creation of this fundraising event, all to raise money for our local community. We want to put this money straight back into creating community spaces and build our very own skatepark. Our first event raised just over £6k for our cause and we aren’t stopping there.
This whole event started with a little idea of combining our passions and creating a cross over of two communities. What would happen if we get a load of artists to create some incredible pieces with a twist and how can we raise some money while we do it. This project has turned into so much more than just a few painted skateboards and has really shone a light on the support and community spirit that is out there.

how IT STARTED
THE MAIN EVENT
Our first event was everything we could have dreamed of and more! Seeing all our hard work come together and the joy it brought so many people was incredible. We actually did it, we had an idea and we completed it and it was like nothing that had been seen locally before! There was an incredible turn out with over 400 people through the door, skateboarders of all ages and abilities, and a whole community of people who came out to support the cause and spectate.
Not to mention the outstanding display of artwork produced by so many local talents that really helped us boost our fundraising total.
The day was nothing but fun from start to finish and the feedback we received from so many was overwhelmingly heartwarming.
Our community really showed up for us and we can’t thank you all enough for making our dream a reality.
So onto the next one, because now we’ve done it once, we can’t wait to do it all again!
The future
We have been overwhelmed with the amount of support we have received so far and it’s only growing more. This is just the start and we really started with a bang! We hope to put on many more events to support our local communities in the near future, starting with our next annual CREATE AND DESTROY event. We are also working tirelessly behind the scenes to reach our goal and secure a space, for everyone who has supported, skated with us and for the next generation of young shredders to have a home.
